Jimmy talks about the David Gilmour concert at the Forum.
He talks about one of the guitar solos being the best live solo he’d ever seen. (It’s the final solo of Comfortably Numb. It was truly epic, as it always is. Here’s a link to the Hollywood Bowl version of it. It’s hard to get the same impact without the buildup of the whole song but it’s incredible nonetheless. -Darryl)
05 – Matt wants to know where Jimmy sat in relation to where they sat for U2. Jimmy sat in a wheel chair section. He loved it. The only problem was having to hear the usher shoo people out of the aisles. Every person had a reason for being there.
Jimmy talks about Darryl being early for the show. Jimmy says he would never be one of the first people in a venue for a show.
(Not that I need to defend my schedule, but I drove from Woodland Hills, not knowing how traffic would be. Turns out traffic was great, so I was earlier than even I planned to be. -Darryl)
I waited 42 years to see David Gilmour in concert, Jimmy. I am not ashamed to show up a little early.
Jimmy went down to Carlsbad on Saturday, which was near where Matt was in Lego Land!
