Adam has a funny story about a weed gummie and his son Marcello learning to drive. Or not. Adam couldn’t drive and had to go lay down because of the weed.

Adam talks about being a huge Elton John fan growing up, collecting bootlegs, doing a performance of Funeral For A Friend.
A record store in the 80s, no better place to work!
Adam talks about Nina Simone coming in to the store he worked at and getting furious about her albums not being there.
Adam became friends with Elton John’s guitarist Davie when he came into the store. He actually came to see Adam perform. Davie also would play with Adam at Largo shows.
55 – Adam did a demo with basically Elton’s entire band.
Adam talks about “rehearsing the band” for Elton. They met for the first time in 2005. He actually had to tell Elton the cords to his song because he hadn’t played it in years.
60 – Adam talks about Elton telling him he would be singing with the choir, who were angry about it, and someone asking him afterwards if he had won his spot.
1h5m – Adam’s been working with Elton now for 15 years leading up to the Dodger Stadium tour.

We hear some audio of Adam rehearsing with the band and singing Captain Fantastic. It was the first time he had ever rehearsed the band and performed with them.
Adam actually performed at the Grammys during the Salute to Elton John.
Adam met Brandi Carlisle at the Dodger Stadium and to his shock, she knew who Adam was.

Adam fills us in on his experience at the Dodger Stadium show. He rehearsed with Brandi Carlisle and they sang Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me together. He also rehearsed with Kiki Dee!

Adam fills us in on the performance, including ending up sitting next to Joni Mitchell before he went on stage.
He got a high five from Joni Mitchell after the performance.
1h25m – The video producer surprised him with footage of his performance as if it was shot like Elton was playing it.

1h30m – Adam tells a story about George Harrison and Ray, Elton’s percussionist.
Billy Joel also got a “surrogate” after he met Adam backstage at Madison Square Garden.
Adam talks about the “quarencella” performances he was doing during the pandemic. They ended up raising 20k for non-profits. Coacella sent them a cease and desist for using “cella” so he changed the name to Quaren-Cell-LA.
