The first mention here on Never Not Notes of a “Death Curse”is Episode 425. They talk about the the upcoming Michael Jackson comeback concert, which, of course he would never live to perform. The episode was released 03/25/09, and Jackson died exactly three months later. In the same episode, I have noted that Brittany Murphy was a victim of the Death Curse as well. She died in December of that year. Keep in mind I made those notes long after the episodes aired, so I was calling them Death Curses in retrospect. Episode 613 notes show a mention of The Curse and Brittany Murphy. I’m not sure if that’s a “first mention” within the show, but it’s the earliest I can find here. (I started taking notes in Season 6; any notes from earlier episodes are hit and miss depending on time and interest.)
However, Debbie Wiseman’s NeverNotWiki site notes that the first Death Curse occurred in Season 2, with a mention of Charles Nelson Reilly.
