NNF 1510 – Billy Eichner
@billyeichner

00 – Welcome in! Jimmy hurt his lower back running in Eerie, PA. Running on a treadmill is like marching. A long run is an Eagles album.

It was Jimmy’s first time in Eerie. Great club with a great staff!

Jimmy says again, we have the best fans. People drove in from all over to see him. West Virginia, NY, Boston, Carolinas, etc. It was also cold and rainy.

He walked to his hotel after the show and it was like Jack the Ripper London. It went from misty to severe downpour as he walked.

Treadmill vs outdoor running

05 – Jimmy saw The Equalizer this weekend in a theater full of black people. The movie stinks, but he loved it. This overweight black woman kept saying, “oooh Denzel!’” every time he killed someone. They also started running Gone Girl instead of The Equalizer. Everyone got up at the same time because they thought they were in the wrong theater. Some old woman yelled at everyone that the theater has already been told and to sit down.

Denzel was great but it is a horrible movie that Jimmy enjoyed the hell out of.

10 – We do have Black female fans! players club member Tracy came out to see Jimmy sporting her PC t-shirt.

Eerie, Indiana!

We had to change the schedule last week so jimmy could do a cameo on Comedy Bang Bang. I had already planned an anniversary trip to Disneyland that day so I couldn’t be here for the show.

15 – Jimmy loves shooting at Comedy Bang Bang. It’s not like any other set.

We’re officially announcing Tickets are ON SALE NOON on Thursday 10/9.

Jimmy and Matt talk about the Palm Frond casting human like shadows outside the door.

Jimmy is getting emails saying he won the Eliot challenge. Jimmy’s off the hook?

We rebooted the bet on 10/1 and Eliot reset his settings back to normal.

Billy Eichner is joining us today! Jimmy likes the dynamic of the guest entering while we’re recording. Our guest is running slightly late.

Jimmy doesn’t want everything in the cloud!

Jimmy’s got questions about his phone, iTunes, iCloud, etc.

The guys talk iPods and music collections!

40 – Jimmy’s mouth doesn’t like saying Lily Tomlin’s name. Too many Ls.

A gay guy, James Davis, worked with Jimmy at Warehouse Records, who mentioned Lily Tomlin was gay and that she makes no bones about it, “literally no bones about it.” It made himself laugh.

45 – Worst day of the show is when Schmidt left and they didn’t rebrand the show.

Stand by Me quote: It happens sometimes. Friends come in and out of our lives, like busboys in a restaurant.

We’ll be back! Here’s Rayna James!

We’re back! 1510!

He’s late! But our guest is here! His text: “…running 15 minutes late.” 25 minutes late!

Billy talks gay days at Disney.

Andrea Martin

Her book!

Al Jarreau – ALIVE.

55 – Openings available at Eliot’s place! $1550 WAY too much for studio+Loft.

Jimmy loved his Gym but they started allowing dogs.

Billy doesn’t understand the need for people in LA to take their dogs everywhere.

60 – Billy lives in LA half the year. Sounds like Parks and Rec officially ends production in December.

Jimmy tells Billy that one of his first tweets was a compliment to him.

Jimmy asks about whether there is a lot of improvisation on Parks and Rec. They film as written a couple of times and then time permitting they do some imrov takes.

Billy tells a story he heard about the Parks writers quoting one of his bits so much that they had a piggy bank people had to put money in whenever they quoted it.

Billy also had a non-televised talk show that he did called Creation Nation. His costar on the show, his best friend Robin Lord Taylor, now plays Penguin on Gotham!

65 – Billy talks about the origins of his man on the street videos and how they evolved into Billy on the Street. They started with political issues.

He did a man on the street at the Superbowl for Conan. He also did Madonna videos in Israel and finally finished with an actual appearance from Madonna.

70 – Lionel Richie was not arrested, his wife was.

75 – The guys talk Rent. Billy loves it. Jimmy hates it but he has not missed in once in five years, alone. He went to see Sam Harris ALONE.

80 – Billy grew up in NY and went to Northwestern. We’re betting on Billy’s age. He just turned 36!

Who Do You Think You Are?

Matt asks if Billy watches Nashville. The answer is no. He can’t commit to it. There is too much to watch.

He watches Parenthood!!

Billy describes Jimmy as a Lady of a Certain Age.

He watched GH every night before bed.

Matt likes the show Transparent on Amazon.

The guys talk about movies/shows featuring trans characters. Normal, Transamerica, etc.

85 – Pawnee is not a real town (in Indiana).

Teddy Pendagrass

90 – One of Billy’s favorite things to do is to go see Tyler Perry movies on opening day in one of the big Time’s Square theaters. Lots of audience interactions happening.

Hedwig is terrific per Billy. Jimmy loved Company, said everyone is great in it.

BREAK!!

Welcome back! We’re all here and Jimmy’s opening a brand new tea.

Jimmy always opens his day with a Coke Zero but he didn’t today.

Billy not impressed by Jimmy’s inability to drink his tea.

Jimmy asks about having people tagging along with Billy on his show. He likes it and encourages the celebrity to engage with the people.

95 – Billy is unsure how to properly thank Seth Meyers for putting him on the Emmys. He finally decided on a gift that he is sending out this week.

Everyone enjoyed Seth on the Emmys.

Jimmy gives credit to Ricky Gervais for opening the door to irreverence on award shows. Billy says that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hit the perfect balance for the shows.

Billy would love to know Joy Behar. He talks about Sheri Shephar and religious stars hypocrisy.

Why the twitter hate for Bill Maher recently? Billy doesn’t get it.

100 – Billy glad that Ben Affleck was the final word on Islam.

Matt just came out as an Atheist. Jimmy had no idea.

More Bill Maher chat. Jimmy tells his favorite Bill Maher story. He joined a table of comedians but he got a stool so he was holding court above them.

105 – Jimmy and Matt disagree on the adult usage of Gross.

Jimmy asks Billy about his Letterman appearance. Jimmy asks who Bill’s influences are. He answers saying a lot of people like Martin Short, Steve Martin, Letterman, Richard Lewis, Joan Rivers, Sandra Bernhard, Bette Middler, Nathan Lane, and more!

The letterman producers called to get him on the show right after the Emmys. He was in LA though so they scheduled him for 9/11. He ended up playing a game with David: Celebrity Child or Kentucky Derby Winner. David loved his screaming. It was surreal.

Moxi Crimefighter is Penn Jillette’s daughter’s name.

10 – Jimmy is apparently invited to a dinner to celebrate Eva Longoria. $1000 tax deductible donation.

Billy thinks jimmy is a 55 year old closeted lesbian.

Billy wanted to come down on the right side of history when it comes to bowling shoes. He’s sorry he was late.

Teddy Pendagrass was in a car accident in 82 and died in 2010.

We’re done!

See ya next time!

My pleasure,
